Cyber Crime Statistics: The Internet Crime Report for 2019, released by USA’s Internet Crime Complaint Centre (IC3) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has revealed that India stands third in the world among top 20 countries that are victims of internet crimes. Every IT position is also a cybersecurity position now. Every IT worker, every technology worker, needs to be involved with protecting and defending apps, data, devices, infrastructure, and people.

B Sc – Cyber and Digital Science: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has launched a unique Bachelors programme in Cyber and Digital Science. Students who have passed the Higher secondary school certificate exam (10+2) or its equivalent examination with English or Three Year Diploma course of board of technical education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent OR Higher secondary school certificate (10+2) Examination with English and vocational subject of +2 level (MCVC) are eligible for taking admission to this programme.

Companies, meanwhile, need people who can manage advanced technologies, take care of the transformation from legacy to new-age systems, and innovate. Cyber security and Digital Science is a combination of a body of technologies, processes, and practices; it is an evolving set of tools, risk management approaches, technologies, training, and best practices.
